gearing up for xmas

now whats first, oh yes

this cool dude is my 4 year old son.

today i did not know what to do first, had so many ideas in my head thought id explode,so sat and made  a list
first i finished another doll then i was ready to make some more fairy doors which i think are soo cute, and great sellers.
then i decided to make a photo frame for the many pics i have just sitting in my front room awaiting frames .
i made doors and frame out of driftwood ,pebbles, acorns, and a brooch my mum donated went onto the frame as well.

when my son came home from school we decided to have some fun,we made these xmas trees,with loads of messy glitter,no more nice clean front room,but it was well worth it to see the look of content on his face when he completed his first one

 then i decided to recycle his old socks, we both made these together it was great fun,sock monkey and sock snowman,he loves them both

oh then it was time for us to make some acorn owls and seashell snails which he also loved doing and very easy to make, i love crafting time with my son , i cant wait to do it all again

new xmas fairy

i am having a lazy dont want to sew day today so i went for a walk instead.
i found this lovely fairy walking through the forest just now holding her seed pod full of xmas goodies for her fairy friends, she told me she was off to a xmas party.
so i asked her i could photogragh her and put her piccy in my etsy shop

luckily for me she agreed

its been a long time

sorry have been so busy making new dolls have forgotten all about blogging, i have just consulted my diary and am now in a big panic, i have 10 craft fairs to do before xmas and just hope i have enough stock to do them all,i decided to add the wensleydale locks by stitching them to the head and thought they did not look to bad, then i decided why not aim some dolls at other crafter i then made another fairy that has taken up knitting
and yes youve guessed it my fav colour is purple
i now have 3 more bodies sat on my table waiting to be xmas themed, but my mind is blank
im thinking greens and reds but the rest is blank, do i give them presents to hold,or what
ideas welcome

omg ,what a busy week

what a busy week ive had, for the first time ever i experimented with dying net curtain lace, what fun, a bit disastrous to begin with but when acrylic paint is watered down enough its very easy to work with. not only did i dye these pieces i also added glitter so you can imagine the mess.lol.

with these fabrics i managed to make up 3 dolls one still needs her wings but here they are

new fairy house

have been really busy this week making new dolls and had a great idea for a huge log my other half found on beach whilst fishing, i looked at it for a long while then decided it would look great with a fairy door on it, i started then got carried away and turned it into a house.

then it just had to have toadstools, a spiral staircase and a gnomes home, its now finished i think and it looks fab,

have just done another successful craft fair and sold numerous dolls and fairy doors , am now busy trying to make more xmas stock, and pics are of a unicorn custom order that i have just managed to finish this morning makes a nice change to do a pink one all the others have been in white

jansfabfairies, the beginning

hello, im jannette i have been making soft cloth fairy art dolls for about a year, i got carried away with the amount id made and had no more space to put them
so i decided to see if i could sell a few and here i am a year later selling, blogging and allsorts of other stuff id never done before.
having just finished a summer market in spain i am now back selling on ebay and etsy so please take a look
